Back to Teams <Alex has been with Remote Africa Safaris since 2003. He worked up the ranks from tea bearer to train as a guide, a position he has permanently held after completing the Luangwa Valley guiding exam in 2007.
Alex graduated to a walking guide in 2010 and primarily leads walks in the North Luangwa. Alex manages the camp building and re-construction at Mwaleshi every year and he built our newest camp, Takwela, in 2019. Alex now manages and guides at Takwela Camp and manages North Luangwa operations.
Born a member of the Bisa Tribe, in Mkasanga Village, Alex’s father worked as an electrician and handyman for the Coppingers during their early years in the Luangwa Valley.
