Tafika Camp

Tafika is located on the east bank of the Luangwa River, north of South Luangwa National Park’s Nsefu Sector. It’s ideal for those who enjoy the serenity of the bush. With six spacious chalets (including a family chalet and honeymoon suite) all built from natural materials, Tafika can accommodate up to 14 guests in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Built round the trunks of stunning sausage trees, these thatched chalets all have en suite facilities with showers open to the stars.

Enjoy a range of activities at Tafika including game drives, walking safaris, cycling safaris, cultural village visits and microlight flights (May only).

Takwela Camp

Takwela is situated on Remote Africa’s private land at the confluence of the Luangwa and Mwaleshi Rivers in the North Luangwa. It’s about 10km downstream of Mwaleshi. Takwela has 4 chalets accommodating eight people (from 2020 only), with each chalet enjoying stunning views across a resident hippo pod to pristine bush on all sides. Activities include guided game drives and walking safaris in the mornings and afternoons, with regular stops to take in the surroundings, view wildlife and examine spoor. Enjoy a leisurely pace with a mid-morning tea and coffee break and, on the night drive, a sundowner stop for drinks and snacks.
