Giraffe river crossing

Guide: Bryan
Outgoing: Drives
Camp: Tafika

During morning tea we watched a male Giraffe on our side of the river eyeing up 5 females on the other side. The girls seemed very keen and came down to the rivers edge looking across at him. They spent a long time just looking at each other in the hope that one or the other would cross.

The male in the end gave in.

Here are a couple of photos showing his embarrassing moments falling into a deep hole and the girls walking away after he’s crossed.
