All Tafika game drives accommodate a maximum of four guests per vehicle, however a private vehicle is an excellent way for specialist photographers, serious birders or families with young children to experience the bush with a little more privacy and in your own time.
Private vehicles and guides should be requested when booking. Please note that an extra daily rate is applied.
For the photographer, Remote Africa Safaris offers bespoke photographic safaris guided by Bryan Jackson. Bryan, the Tafika Safari Manager -who is both a professional guide and a professional photographer - ensures that guests on a photographic safari will be perfectly placed to take the best advantage of the excellent photographic opportunities presented.
A private photographic safari should be requested when booking. Please note that an extra daily rate is applied.
Specialist Birding Safaris
The Luangwa showcases over 400 recorded bird species. With regular sightings of Bat Hawks and Pel's Fishing Owls; great flocks of Crowned Cranes; a breeding colony of Yellow Billed Storks; and visits from the White Winged Babbling Starling and Yellow-Throated Long Claw, Remote Africa Safaris is a bird-lover’s paradise. Boasting everything from the plain Little Brown Jobs to the spectacular Lilac Breasted Rollers, the Luangwa Valley has converted many a non-birder to the delights of birding.
All guides at Tafika Camp, The Chikoko Trails Camps and Mwaleshi Camp are excellent and enthusiastic birders.
Please note that an extra daily rate is applied for private specialist birding safaris.
