New Born Giraffe

Guide: Bryan
Outgoing: Morning Drive
Camp: Tafika

I decided this morning’s drive was going to be in a different area of the park. All the other camps have closed for the season so headed off south towards Mfuwe in the Nsefu sector. After the rain it’s been a little quiet so we didn’t see much other than Impala and Puku everywhere. We did come across a new born Giraffe with its mother by themselves in the middle of nowhere. The baby started to drink with the mother licking its head. Also found some Fish Eagles fighting over a big Cat fish, lots of noise and feathers, one adult eventually chased everyone else away and eat the whole fish.

We went to check out the Leopard cubs again, they were sleeping under their log so we left them in peace.
