Leopard Cubs

Guide: Bryan
Outgoing: Night Drive
Camp: Tafika

Isaac and Lloyd had seen a Leopard & cub one evening very close to the main road with some guests from South Africa. I tried to find them but was looking under the wrong tree; fortunately Alex & Lloyd came along and showed us the right tree. We pulled in alongside of their vehicle and 1 little cub appeared calling for its mother; it must only been 4-6 weeks old. The other vehicle left (to my surprise) so we had grand stand seats. Looking at the light we decided to move to the other side of the fallen tree in the hope of getting better photos. We sat for 30mins or more until we saw a cub reappear, it didn’t move very far from the safety of the log, we had good views with the normal twigs, grass and so on in front of the cub. Then a second cub appeared at the opposite end of the tree, they eventually came together and played the normal rough and tumble of little kittens. The light wasn’t good so we left for sundowners.
