Day & Night Drives

At Tafika Camp in the South Luangwa, game drives are conducted morning and afternoon in open vehicles, accommodating 4 guests. Excellent photographic opportunities abound.

The afternoon drive departs Tafika late afternoon and is usually extended to a night drive returning after dark. The sunset is toasted overlooking a beautiful Luangwa scene and after ice cold sundowners a spotlight is brought into play, revealing the fascinating world of Africa's nocturnal wildlife. Night drives are not permitted in many other wildlife areas of Africa so this is a Luangwa treat.

The game viewing vehicles at Remote Africa Safaris have only 2 rows of seats, ensuring all guests are able to hear the guide and share his knowledge and insights. Each night drive vehicle has a dedicated and trained spotter, allowing the guide to pay full attention to the road, the animals and the safety of our guests! At Tafika there are generally sufficient guides to ensure that guests are not restricted to the game viewing preference of “the group” but may walk, drive, cycle, microlight or remain in camp and paint!
